Migrating H-Sphere Control Panel
|
|
| |
|
This document provides a general outline on how to migrate H-Sphere to a different server.
It is still under development, and any feedback is welcome.
- Install H-Sphere on the target server and carefully test it.
- Stop H-Sphere CP on the old location.
Also make sure users don't perform any data changes, updates, etc. during the migration.
- Move H-Sphere system database to the target location.
- Change the main H-Sphere server IPs, etc. in the main H-Sphere DB
manually, according to the new H-Sphere IP configuration.
- Recreate users' accounts on the new location.
- Perform IP migration according to the new H-Sphere data.
- Move user content (web content, mail content, MySQL DBs, PgSQL DBs)
- Check the new location to make sure that the new HS is working correctly.
- Start H-Sphere CP on the new location.
- Switch DNS to use new IPs; install additional software like tcpproxy to accelerate the process, etc.
